Eco-friendly and Non-toxic Countertops
IceStone is a highly versatile concrete product that is a eco-friendly and non-toxic. IceStone surfaces do not contain any resins or plastics, and will not fade with exposure to direct sunlight or UV rays.
IceStone surfaces are used for kitchen countertops, backsplashes, bathroom vanities, tabletops, bar tops, outdoor kitchens and any other surface where stone can be used. IceStone countertops are created from 100% recycled glass that is mixed with cement to create a highly durable and aesthetically beautiful surface that is considered a high-performance concrete product.
IceStone has twice the strength of marble and has a long product life cycle. IceStone countertops come in a wide variety of colors including neutrals, earth tones, vibrant and playful hues that are suitable for both commercial and residential installations. MR 4: Recycled Content
IceStone durable surfaces contain recycled content that ranges from 70% on average to 75% of the product by weight. Of the recycled content, generally 80-100% is pre-consumer waste, with the balance being post-consumer waste.
MR 5: Regional Materials
IceStone durable surfaces are manufactured in Brooklyn, NY. If your project is within 500 miles of us, IceStone qualifies as a regional material.
EQ 4: Low-Emitting Materials
IceStone durable surfaces contain no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and thus emit no VOCs. We recommend that IceStone be used in conjunction with certain low-VOC or no-VOC sealants.

IceStone is the first and only durable surface to have achieved Cradle to Cradle certification. McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC) – an independent third-party firm – has evaluated IceStone durable surfaces for its human health, environmental health, lifecycle attributes, social responsibility, renewable energy and water stewardship characteristics against stringent criteria and has certified it as a Gold level ecologically intelligent product. Care and Maintenance
IceStone slabs can be easily cut, shaped, inlaid and mounted vertically or horizontally. Each piece of IceStone is one-of-a-kind and can be honed or sandblasted to add extra texture to the finished product. Polishing brings out the luminescence of the glass, creating the effect for which IceStone products were named. IceStone surfaces can also be edged to suit individual tastes.
IceStone durable surfaces are strong and require basic maintenance to preserve their beauty and performance. We recommend resealing your IceStone countertops once a year, just as you would with quarried stone. We do not recommend using bleach or ammonia-based or abrasive cleaners on your IceStone countertops.
