What are Corian®Countertops?

Is Corian® a stain-resistant surface?
Corian® Countertops are extremely stain-resistant. Since Corian® is a non-porous material, stains can’t penetrate its surface. This also makes it easy to clean and maintain. Another benefit to Corian® is that it will never require sealing.
Are Corian® Countertops heat-resistant?
We always recommended that you do not place a hot pot or pan directly on your countertop. Even though Corian® capable of remaining undamaged in temperatures of up to 212ºF (100ºC), it should be noted that high heat or flame will most likely cause damage to your surface. In the majority of cases, this type of damage can be repaired. In order to protect your Corian® Countertops from this type of damage, you should always use a hot pad and/or a trivet when using hot pots, pans or other heat-generating appliances such as electric skillets or even electric cooking pots.
How do I go about cleaning my Corian®?
Corian® Countertops are easy to clean. The use of soapy water or a gentle ammonia-based cleaner is all that is needed to take regular care of your Corian®. Minor scratches, scuffs, burns or even discoloration are also usually very easy to repair. Does Corian® require special sealing?
No, Corian® Countertops arenon-porous. Unlike all natural stones, Corian® will never need sealing thus making it extremely easy to live with! Corian® is an elegantly beautiful material and a maintenance-free surface that you will certainly enjoy for many, many years to come.
